The  Nifty Future is trading at 9,190.00  with a loss of -0.38% percent or -35.15 point. The Nikkei 225 Future is trading at 20,393.00  with a loss of -0.47% percent or -97.00 point.The Hang Seng Future is trading at 24,535.50  with a loss of -1.39% percent or -341.50 point.


The nationwide lockdown to contain COVID-19 will have a negative impact on the real estate sector in the short term, affecting sales and cash-flow of builders, while accelerating the pace of consolidation in the sector, Godrej Properties said.

However, the company said it would continue to grow, helped by its brand image and various projects lined up to be launched. It had clocked record sales booking of nearly Rs 6,000 crore during the last fiscal year.

In its investor presentation, the Mumbai-based firm said: Due to the nationwide lockdown, existing construction activity has come to a halt which will extend construction timelines.

For the day the Dow is trading at 24,221.99  with a loss of -0.45% percent or -109.33  point. The S&P 500 is trading at 2,930.32 up with +0.018% percent or +0.52 point. The Nasdaq Composite is trading at 9,192.34 up with +0.78%percent or +71.02 point.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is trading at 24,245.68 with a loss of –1.45% percent or –356.38  point. China’s Shanghai  Composite is trading at 2,891.56 with a loss of –0.11% percent or –3.25 point.
