The CNX Nifty index, the country’s benchmark equity index, will drop realty firm DLF Ltd and steel and energy company Jindal Steel and Power Ltd at the next index rebalance on March 27, India Index Services and Products Ltd, an NSE group company, announced in a circular published on Friday. Idea Cellular and Yes Bank – which are currently in the second-rung Nifty Junior index – will move up to the 50-strong benchmark index instead, the circular added.

Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd and United Spirits will replace Idea Cellular and Yes Bank on the Nifty Junior.

Other NSE indices to be rebalanced on the same date incldue the CNX 100 Index, CNX 200 Index, CNX 500 Index, LIX15 Index, Nifty Midcap 50 Index, CNX Midcap Index, CNX Smallcap Index, CNX Auto Index, and the CNX Commodities Index.
